Applying Design Thinking to Imagemme Innovation

AS AN NYC-BASED BRAND INNOVATION LAB, MOST OF OUR TIME AND ATTENTION GOES TO OUR CLIENTS. BUT SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO TAKE SOME TIME FOR A LITTLE BRANDING R&R (REFRESHING & REFINEMENT).

To fine-tune our own skills and to test drive new initiatives, we often use Imagemme as a guinea pig.  And that is just what happened when we test-drove a new brand personality framework on Tuesday.  It couldn’t have come at a better time, as Imagemme recently celebrated its 4th birthday, and its a perfect time to evolve the brand identity as we move in new and exciting directions!

It began with a synergetic exercise—a word-association activity to stimulate a collective sense of our brand personality. First, we aligned adjectives that delineate who we are as a branding company, our values, emotions, skills and strengths. Spurring us into a self-acknowledgement of sorts, we explored who we are as an entity.

Next we collectively decided which words best fit our brand personality, and honed our information hierarchy. Then, we personified these attributes to not only create an image of who we are, but who we attract…and want to attract.

These exercises culminated in some very exciting discoveries.  They harnessed creativity, created team alignment, and set a strategic pathway for our own brand innovation.

Imagemme is growing as brand, yes, but with our ingrained innovative personality, and soon-to-come updated look, it’s far unlikely we’ll lose our youthful charm.
